Diabetes is a widespread condition affecting all age groups. While there is currently no cure for diabetes, the condition can be effectively managed with medication, controlled diet and regular exercise.
Complications arising from diabetes range from nerve damage, cardiovascular disease to kidney failure. One Life aims at managing the patient’s condition effectively to prevent further complications and help them improve their quality of life.
Our diabetes care program helps with the following:
- Understand the disease and what causes it to have greater or lesser impact on an individual’s health and well-being
- Know-how to monitor the disease and what to do when levels aren’t in the desired range
- Medication management
- Lifestyle and nutrition education
- Appropriate exercise regimen
- Educate the patient to watch for signs that their diabetes might be having a negative impact on skin or nerve feeling
- Liaise with the primary physician and provide necessary medical care as and when required
COPD
COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) mainly consists of progressive lung diseases such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Due to obstructive nature of the condition, patients may experience difficulty in breathing. While there is no permanent cure for COPD, it can be very effectively managed with qualified medical support at home.
We enable individuals and their families to cope with COPD through:
- Medication management
- Oxygen and nebulizer therapy
- Education on early signs and appropriate action to be taken
- Assistance in daily living activities
- Creating an appropriate exercise regimen that can help maintaining lung muscles
